Updated Canapé & Snacks Menu

In preparation for the upcoming warmer months and events season, Food Envy Group Chef Mark Trzebiatowki has been busy creating our new canapés and snacks menu.

 
 

For this menu I have drawn inspiration from my time spent so far in Wellington as well as the diversity that is in our team, from Europe to Korea, South East Asia, and  New Zealand.

I wanted this canapé menu to have more choice and variety, not only in flavours and dietaries, but also more selection to suit all the different types of events we cater for. 

My team and I are dedicated to sourcing local seasonal produce and have tried to pay homage to our mixture of cultures, taking some classic dishes and putting our own twists on it, as well as some wild and wacky items. 

Guests can enjoy familiar flavours from mini ham and egg pies, boil up dumplings to more European classics such as pâté-croûte and prawn cocktail.

How the menu works:

For Events

If you are organising an event and have chosen one of our Canapé Packages, you will be able to select from our full canapé and snacks menu which our chefs prepare on site and our wait staff serve to your guests. Download an early preview here 👀

For Delivery

We can deliver our canapés to your office, home or venue, ready to serve to your guests without any chefs. Only cold canapés are available for this option, as hot canapés rarely travel well or arrive at their destination hot! Delivered canapés are often paired with platters or hot items from our Snack menu which are able to be delivered hot.

Enquiries for Christmas parties have already started coming in and the most popular dates always book out early!

Every Friday in November and December are in high demand so even if you haven’t got your event planned out, start enquiring with us early so you can have first pick.

Venue feature - Public Trust Hall

This month’s venue feature is the Public Trust Hall, a gorgeous inner city venue for all types of functions and events.

Public Trust Hall is situated in the iconic Grade One Heritage Listed Public Trust building on Lambton Quay. The building was originally built in 1908 and was the principal banking chamber for the Public Trust. The ground floor and basement were refurbished in 2019 with a beautiful grand entrance, a separate smaller room for meetings and a commercial catering kitchen.

We have worked with the lovely team at Public Trust Hall for many years and catered Christmas parties, weddings, conferences, galas, awards nights, concerts - even a rave!

Clients love the Public Trust Hall for its modern, blank canvas versatility and its state of the art facilities including an onsite AV technician for your event. The kitchen is well equipped, making our job a breeze, whether we’re catering a conference or a 200 pax plated wedding or gala.   

The Public Trust Hall’s inner city location makes it one of our favourite venues to cater it. Food Envy is only an 8 minutes drive away, so we can easily transport food directly from our catering kitchen as well to serve straight to your guests. This is a great cost-saving advantage and suits daytime conferences and events.
