Ordering

How do I place an order? ›

Place an order using our enquiry form, or if it's easier you can email us on catering@foodenvy.nz.

We'll need to know:

  • Your selected items (or let us know if you want us to prepare a menu)
  • Number of people
  • Dietary requirements
  • Date and time of delivery or service
  • Delivery location and instructions
  • Organisation/company
  • Onsite contact if applicable
  • Total or per head budget if applicable

Feel free to provide as much information as you can and update us later.

Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll book you into our calendar and email you with a menu and quote.

We’ll liaise with you to firm up the details until you’re happy – then you’re set to go!

What are your order cut off times? ›

You'll need to have your order in and confirmed by these times:

Delivery for Monday - 12pm Friday prior

Delivery for Tuesday - 5pm Friday prior

Delivery for Wednesday - 5pm Monday

Delivery Thursday - 5pm Tuesday

Delivery Friday - 5pm Wednesday

Delivery for Saturday or Sunday - 5pm Thursday

Changes beyond these times are subject to a late change fee.

I forgot to order catering! Do you take urgent orders? ›

We can take last minute orders if we have availability (subject to a late order fee). Give us a call on 04 242 0080 and we’ll see if we can squeeze you in.

I have more guests to add and one of them has a dietary requirement. Can we change the order? ›

Absolutely. Flick us an email with the new details. Final numbers and menu must be confirmed by our cut off times.

What should I do with the platters? ›

Don’t worry about rinsing or cleaning them – we’ll take care of that! Stack the platters in a spot where our drivers can pick up the following day.

Let us know if you need them collected at a specific time.

What time are you open? ›

Our office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Our office is closed over the weekend but you can call us if you have a weekend or evening function.

Do you include GST in your prices? ›

All prices in our catering menus exclude GST. We calculate the total GST amount when we send your quote.

Do you have a minimum spend? ›

We have a minimum order of 10 of the same item.


We don't have a minimum spend but our delivery fee is higher for deliveries outside of business hours and weekends.


Delivery

Do you deliver your food hot? ›

We sure do. Our hot items are delivered hot and ready to serve.

If you prefer to heat your food on site, we can deliver it cold and provide heating instructions.

I need to set up the space, can you arrive early? ›

Our drivers arrive anywhere between 10-20 minutes before your stated delivery time. This allows for unexpected traffic or parking delays with time to spare for us to help you set up.

Please inform us if your catering must arrive at a precise time.

What areas do you deliver to? ›

We service the greater Wellington area.

What are your delivery fees? ›

Our delivery fees are automatically calculated based on your catering order and requirements.

Please send an enquiry through or give us a call with your order details and one of our team will be able to give you an estimate.

All deliveries around the CBD are typically based on a round trip delivery and platter pick up the following day unless otherwise arranged. Any other areas outside of the CBD is charged as 2 trips to allow for platter pick up the following day unless otherwise arranged.

Rates exclude GST

Fully serviced functions are quoted separately according to equipment hire rates.

When do you pick up your platters? ›

We endeavour to pick up dishes and equipment by end of the following business day unless requested otherwise. All crockery and serveware delivered with your catering is your responsibility. We will invoice for the replacement or repair cost if anything is damaged or lost.


Payment Methods

How do I pay my invoice? ›

We issue an invoice the following day of your catering or event.

You can pay via bank transfer or using your credit card online.

Do you require a deposit? ›

To confirm your event or wedding catering, we require a 50% deposit on acceptance of the quote. For delivered catering in the weekend, we require a 100% deposit on acceptance of the quote.

Can I pay by credit card? ›

Absolutely. When you receive your invoice email, follow the link for easy steps to pay securely online.


Dietary Requirements

I have a complex dietary requirement. Can you provide a separate meal for me? ›

Not a problem. Our menus are designed to suit various dietary requirements which we indicate on our menus. Our team is experienced with dietary requirements and can put together alternative menus to suit.

I have food allergies. What is your allergen policy? ›

We take allergies extremely seriously. We have a triple step process to ensure serious allergies are checked and signed off by a supervisor before it leaves our kitchen.

While we do our best to clean down and prepare high risk food in a separate area, our kitchen does handle nuts, seafood, sesame, dairy, eggs and gluten products.

Due to unintentional cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our food items are completely free of the above products.


Events

Do you have your own venue? ›

We have a multi-functional space at our kitchen that can accommodate small groups, and a bigger pop up function space next door.

I had something yummy at an event you catered. Can I buy it so I can take it home? ›

For sure! Email us with your details and you can pick up from our kitchen or have it delivered. We just have a minimum order of 10 per item.


Weddings

I’m planning my wedding and I don’t know where to start! Can you sort out our venue, staff and drinks? ›

Yes! Start your planning with us. We can provide any level of support you need.

We have relationships with venues and equipment hire, and can arrange the right staff and beverage service to suit your wedding.

Do you help set up and pack down after my wedding? ›

We sure do. We’ll liaise with you and the venue to ensure we set up and pack everything down according to your timings and the requirements of the venue.

Do you make wedding cakes? ›

We don’t, we leave that to the experts. We recommend our friends at Cake Palliser
